Blackadder Goes Forth

October 2013

This comical play is based on the BBC TV series of the same name. Set in the battle trenches of World War One, the original TV series starred Rowan Atkinson, Tony Robinson, Hugh Laurie, Stephen Fry & Tim McInnerny, and was first aired (6 episodes) from Sepember 28th to November 2nd 1989.
Directed by David Gregory this play brought non-stop laughs as audiences watched the antics of the cowardly Captain Blackadder scheming to get out of the trenches, aided (or not) by his wartime companions Lieutenant George & Private Baldrick, whilst General Melchett & Captain Darling continued to thwart his efforts in their own bumbling style.
